GDPR Workshop for Charities held in London September 2017

GDPR workshop for Charities

View from Arundel House London

On September 13th 2017, Varia Solutions, in conjunction with Charity Now, hosted a GDPR workshop. The objective of the workshop was to educate Charities about how they are likely to be impacted by the new legislation, but also to offer best practice solutions that they could put into practice. The event was held at Arundel House, home of the International Institute for Strategic Studies. We were on the top floor, and you can see the spectacular view above.

We know GDPR can be a dry subject, so at Varia we aim to make our workshops as interactive and as interesting as possible. No-one wants to sit through death by powerpoint for 5 hours!

“Thanks very much indeed for such an amazing course today.  The GDPR training was brilliant, very clear and informative – all presented in an inclusive and interesting way.”
Hicky Kingsbury, Chief Executive Officer, Good Vibrations Giving

We got some great feedback after the event, and have plenty to follow up on  – the issue of consent was by far the biggest discussion, and we shared some great best practices and examples for maximising conversions to consent in your fundraiser communications. A few of the photos from the event are below.

If you’re interested in us hosting a workshop at your premises, please just get in touch. We cover a variety of industries, including retail, manufacturing, software and technology, as well as charities.
